Hi there, Paige! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney--so happy you found us! As a fellow dog mom and
Disney Vacation Club Member, your question certainly speaks to me. I'm happy to walk you through the options for bringing your four-legged friends along for your next
Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
For families wanting to enjoy the magic with their canine besties, there is currently just one DVC resort that has pet-friendly accommodations--the new
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. The cabins have plenty of space for your pup to play, and the trails at Fort Wilderness are great for a walk! I recommend taking a look at the
Walt Disney World pet policy to be sure that you know all of the rules before you go, and be sure to note that a
pet service fee does apply per night of your stay.
Paige, man's best friend is also welcome at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort,
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, and
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Although these are not DVC properties, Members can
exchange Vacation Points to stay at these locations if one suits you better than Fort Wilderness!
One of my favorite on-property features at The Most Magical Place on Earth is
Best Friends Pet Care. This luxury pet boarding facility offers overnight boarding, doggy daycare, and day camp so you can go enjoy the theme parks knowing that your pal is in good paws--I mean, hands! They will even pick up your pampered pooch and transport them, which is a great option if you won't have a car during your stay.
I hope your next trip "Home" is full of puppy snuggles and the best memories, Paige! Thanks again for visiting planDisney, and please reach out again anytime if we can help with other questions to make your Disney adventures as magical as can be.
Stay Magical!
Susan
