have a DVC question. If you don't use your allotted points for the year, will they add to your next years total. For instance, if we have 200 points for the year 2016 and don't use them, will they be added to 2017 to total 400 points.

    HI Danny,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am glad to help you think about banking your Disney Vacation Club vacations points!

One of the great benefits of Disney Vacation Club vacation points is that you can bank points from one year into the next use year, and you can borrow points from a year out into a use year. This can effectively give you three years' worth of vacation points to use during one use year if you would like to take a big trip! To use the 200 point example that you gave, if this year you bank all 200 of your 2016 vacation points into your 2017 use year, and in 2017 if you borrow all 200 of your vacation points from your 2018 use year, you can have 600 vacation points total in your 2017 use year! This website will give you information about banking and borrowing your Disney Vacation Club vacation points.

Please do be aware that banking and borrowing do not happen automatically. You need to actively bank or borrow your vacation points, and there are deadlines and times at which you can do so related to the month on your use year and when you are making a reservation.

If you are already a Disney Vacation Club member and would like to bank vacation points, you can explore doing so at the Disney Vacation Club member website or by calling Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800. If you visit the Disney Vacation Club member website, go to the tab for "My DVC Membership" and then choose "My Vacation Points." On this page, you can select "Manage Vacation Points" to see your Vacation Point status and which are able to be banked or borrowed.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Danny. Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
