Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Cameron!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Thanks so much for dropping by with a question about your upcoming visit. As a parent, there's nothing quite like watching your child experience the magic of Walt Disney World Resort for the first time –– with colors, lights, and sounds everywhere you turn, it's an enchanting adventure for even the littlest Mouseketeers!
But while you're sure to experience plenty of magic during your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, I know first-hand that vacationing as a breastfeeding or pumping Mama comes with unique challenges, particularly for milk storage. At
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, your storage options will depend on
which type of Villa you'll be staying in during your visit. If you plan to call one of the Resort's overwater Bungalows home during your vacation (lucky you!), your room will have a fully-equipped kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator and freezer, which will be perfect for milk storage.
If you're staying in one of the Resort's Deluxe Studios, you're only going to find a small beverage cooler in your room. While this might be adequate to keep milk cool –– much like you would in your refrigerator at home –– it's probably not going to be a good option for freezing milk or storing large volumes. Don't worry, though –– here's some good news. If you need to keep your breastmilk frozen, Bell Services should be able to store it for you in a freezer during your visit. Just be sure that you pack your milk in a waterproof container (I recommend a small cooler, clearly labeled with your name) and you can drop it off with Bell Services, as needed. When you do, you'll receive a claim tag (just like you do when storing luggage), so you can stop back by to retrieve your milk at any time.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Cameron. I hope this helped to answer your question, but if you think of something new as your Walt Disney World Resort visit gets closer, please don't hesitate to drop by again –– we're always here to lend a helping hand!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
