Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Paul!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with a question about your Disney Vacation Club Membership. If you ask me, one of the coolest things about
Disney Vacation Club is that you can use your Vacation Points to create vacations that are tailored specifically to your needs. If you need a few extra Points to book that perfect stay, you're welcome to borrow Vacation Points from your upcoming Use Year to make it happen. And if you happen to have Points left over as your Use Year is winding down? Those Points can be banked to the upcoming Use Year so they don't expire. Since it sounds like you're asking about borrowing Points for your next visit, let me share a few details about how the borrowing process works to help you along the way.
If you don't have enough Vacation Points available in your current Use Year to book the perfect reservation, you'll have the option to
borrow up to 100% of the Points from your upcoming Use Year to complete that booking at the time you make your reservation. Keep in mind that Vacation Points can't be banked in advance –– you'll just be able to borrow what you need for each reservation. This means that if you're using your 2022 Vacation Points to book a February 2023 reservation and you need to borrow 25 Points,
you'll be able to do that during booking (you also have the option to use borrowed Vacation Points when Waitlisting a reservation, too). Then, if you need to book another reservation using borrowed Points later in your Use Year, you'll have the option to do that during booking, as well. Just keep in mind that if you need to cancel or modify a reservation using borrowed Vacation Points, those Points won't be returned to their original Use Year –– they'll become part of the current Use Year and will expire at the end of the year, along with your other Points.
Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, Paul. I hope this helped to answer your question, but if you need more information about your Disney Vacation Club Membership, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always here to lend a helping hand!
Happy Planning,
Amy
