Hey there, Valerie! Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home, neighbor! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with your
Disney Vacation Club question. I just love chatting Disney with a fellow Member!
Don't you just
love being a DVC Member?! Knowing that your next magical adventure is always just around the riverbend and always having a running countdown to a Disney vacation is priceless. But with Use Years, booking windows and expiration dates, it can be as confusing as it is magical. But that's what I am here for, and I'm thrilled to answer your question today!
Since you have a December
Use Year, you are correct that you are currently in your 2021 Use Year, and your 2021 Vacation Points will expire on November 30, 2022. That means that in order to use those Points, the travel will have to be completed by that date or banked into your 2022 Use Year. I see that you have an October 2022 vacation planned, so, unless you already have Points banked, your 2021 Points will be used for that upcoming vacation.
After your spooktacular October vacation, if you have 2021 Use Year Points left over that you will not be using, be sure to
bank your Points into your 2022 Use Year! Your deadline to bank your Points is July 31, 2022, so, you have from now until that date to bank up to 100 percent of your Vacation Points to use in your 2022 Use Year. If you bank your Points, their expiration date will then be November 30, 2023. Just keep in mind that banking is a final transaction and cannot be reversed. Points equal pixie dust, so, I wouldn't want a single drop to go to waste!
I hope this was helpful, Valerie, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable vacation this fall! Please stop by any time with any vacation planning or DVC questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
