planDisney! I just recently visited
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and had such a great time. Being centrally located on the Skyliner means a short ride over to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. But I don’t need to tell you all this because it sounds like you’re interested in staying here, so let’s talk about how you can use your Vacation Points towards a stay!
Josephine, you’ll be happy to know that you can use your Vacation Points at a non-DVC Resort, you’ll have to exchange them through the Disney Collection. The
Disney Collection includes Disney Resort hotels across Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and some of the overseas Disney locations like Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disneyland! But that’s not all, you can also exchange your points towards a
Disney Cruise or an Adventures by Disney excursion! The possibilities are endless!
In order to exchange your points, you’ll have to contact
Member Services. But, first things first! You’ll need to know how many points you’ll have to exchange! Luckily DVC has a points chart for exchanges at Walt Disney World. You can find it
here! You’ll want to scroll to the bottom of the page to where it says “Disney Collection - Disney Stays”. From there, you’ll see a section titled “Walt Disney World” and you’ll find links to the point charts for Value, Moderate, and Deluxe Resorts, as well as the campgrounds at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Click on the Moderate Resorts point chart to view how many Vacation Points are needed to stay at Caribbean Beach.
Here are a couple reminders about these kinds of exchanges. First, you’ll have to be
eligible for Membership Extras in order to exchange your Vacation Points. Second, there’s typically a fee for these types of exchanges. Finally, for bookings within your current Use Year, you’ll have to do so before the last four months of the Use Year.
