I have 70 DVC points that are in Holding. Can I use them for RCI or for Disney Hotels that are not DVC resorts such as Port Orleans, or Coronado Springs?

    Hello, Marco!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm happy to help!

Once your Disney Vacation Club points go into holding status, the way you are able to use them really depends on your membership and the way you purchased your points. In some cases, these points could be used for RCI or other Disney Destinations like Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside or Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. However, there are a few rules around using those points in the holding account. For instance, these points can be used for a new Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation as long as the reservation is booked 60 days or less before the check-in date. If you would like to use them for another destination, the reservation must be made more than four months from the end of your Use Year.

My best advice would be for you to call Member Services so that they can take a look at your membership and best explain how you can use those points that are in your holding account. Since every situation is unique, I want you to get the right information and not lose out on using those points!

Thanks again for visiting us with your question and please let us know if we can do anything else. Have a magical day!
