We are DVC owners at SSR. I booked a studio for Nov. 13-18, 2013 but am hoping to switch my reservation at the 7 month mark. What resorts may have studio rooms available at the 7 month mark at that time? We are hoping for BWV or VWL. Thanks for your help.

    Hi Natasha,

Welcome home!  You're considering some great resorts.  My home resort is Disney's BoardWalk Villas.  I absolutely love it there!  The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are also beautiful.

As to which might have availability for a deluxe studio for November 13 - 18, I'm not sure which would be more likely.  Although the dates have yet to be announced, the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival tends to end right around the time that your vacation begins, in mid-November.  During this event, it has been my experience that both Disney's BoardWalk Villas as well as Disney's Beach Club Villas tend to be extremely full due to their short distance to Epcot.

I would suggest that the day that your seven month booking window opens, call member services at 1-800-800-9800 immediately, and ask about availability at both resorts.  If there is not availability, or only partial availability for the dates of your stay, you can be put on the wait list.  If your stay becomes available at a resort for which you are on the wait list, your initial reservation will be canceled and you will be automatically transferred to the property for which you are on the wait list.  You will receive e-mail confirmation of this change.  You can go on two wait lists at a time, so you could chose to go on the wait list at both Disney's BoardWalk Villas and The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  Your reservation would be switched to whichever resort had availability first.

No matter which resort you chose, you will have a wonderful vacation.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
