Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Christopher!
You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney! I am very excited to help a fellow Bay State Member today. Christopher, as
Disney Vacation Club Members for the last 22 years, we have loved the flexible, affordable vacations Disney Vacation Club has provided our family. We have spent many vacations at
Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and it's always the best of both worlds - flippin' our fins at the beach while enjoying the magic of Disney.
Christopher, to qualify as a Florida resident or to be eligible for any of the Florida resident offers, discounts, or passes, you have to have
proof of residency - both when you purchase your tickets and at the park entrance. All adults need to show proof of Florida residency at the theme park entrance (such as a valid Florida ID with photo, a valid Florida Driver's License with a photo, or a valid Florida-based military ID). If you don't have one of those, there are a few other options for documentation that may be used instead, which you can find
here.Unfortunately, your Home Resort for Disney Vacation Club can NOT be used as acceptable Florida residency. This means Disney's Vero Beach Resort's address can NOT be used to purchase any Florida offer exclusive for Florida residents. Additionally, you have to have a Florida billing address at the time of checkout, which means your credit card and billing information must be tied to a Florida address, and you can't put a Disney Vacation Club property as your billing address.
What you might want to consider, if you purchased your Membership directly from Disney and are eligible for Member Benefits, is to purchase the
Disney Sorcerer Pass. This is an annual pass that is available to eligible Disney Vacation Club Members and/or Florida residents. It is quite a savings for Members! Depending on how many days you are planning to visit the theme parks this year or if you are planning more than one visit, it may be more economical than purchasing theme park tickets for individual trips.
With the Disney Sorcerer Pass, there are a couple of blackout dates you should be aware of, and you would have to make a
Theme Park Reservation for any dates you plan to visit the theme parks. But, it is very easy to do, and you would then be eligible for Annual Pass benefits in addition to any Disney Vacation Club benefits for which you are currently eligible.
I hope this helps you, Christopher! If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, soar back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.
See ya real soon!
