    Does DVC have a onboard welcome cruise party just for DVC members on the Disney Dream cruise? And is there any other perks you get onboard even if you do not use points to pay for the cruise. THANKS

    Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

    Typically on a Disney Cruise, there is a Disney Vacation Club Member Celebration on embarkation day.  Check the Welcome Aboard information that you get at the port for the location and time.  When my family took a cruise on the Disney Dream, the Member Celebration took place at 2:30 p.m. on embarkation day in Evolution.  It was really fun - we got some great Disney Vacation Club hats and cloth reusable shopping bags.  Our daughter had fun coloring in a coloring book they gave her.  It was only an hour and was very low-key.  We also had a magnet on our stateroom door identifying us as Disney Vacation Club Members and at one time there were little gifts in our room - lovely small "Disney Vacation Club" wooden boxes with lanyards inside.  This is all subject to change of course, so don't expect anything and then the little surprises are even better! We had not booked that cruise using our Disney Vacation Club points, yet we were still included in these little Disney Vacation Club items.
