We are DVC members and will be visiting the last week of September. How soon will the September schedule be out? Is the Not So Scary Halloween Party worth attending and what makes it special for children ages 2, 3. 5.& 11, not to memtion us adults.

    Hi Willius,

I love hearing from fellow DVC members!  Apparently you are also aware of another of Disney's best kept secrets, vacationing in September!  We love visiting this time of year, the low crowd levels really make it enjoyable.  Disney is releasing schedules in current month plus three intervals so we should expect to see the September schedule released at the beginning of June.

We attended the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party last year with our children (they were 7, 5 & 3 at the time), and although we enjoyed it I felt it was quite costly for our family of five.  The kids were a bit young to truly take advantage of the attractions, and my husband and I felt a little odd wheeling our kids through the "candy lanes" at the trick or treating stations.  I will say that the "Boo to you" parade was great, and HalloWishes was amazing...I think these were the highlights of the night.

There were dance parties and plenty of activities, but it was just a bit to late for our kids.  Next time I would be sure they took a nap that day!

    Hope this helps!
