We are Dvc members staying at Saratoga springs. Can we go to Beach club villas for dinner with our rental car?

    Hey Howdy Hey, Patricia!

You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Thank you so much for soaring by with your question.  Patricia, I love helping fellow Disney Vacation Club Members with their vacation planning questions.  As a DVC Member for the last 22 years, we have loved the flexible, affordable family vacations DVC has provided our family year after year, to Disney and beyond.

While we love our home away from home amenities - including the kitchenettes at the Deluxe Studios and full-sized kitchens at the Villas - at Disney Vacation Club Resorts, we also like to enjoy all of the delicious dining throughout Walt Disney World property.  Guests are welcome to dine at any of the Disney Resorts whether or not they are overnight Guests of the Resort.

However, if you have a rental car, you will need a dining reservation at the Disney Beach Club Villas to be able to park. The parking guard may ask for your name when you arrive and check the dining reservations list to enable you to park.

My recommendation is to enjoy Cape May Cafe for a surf and turf buffet-style dinner. As a New Englander, I have to point out the clam chowder or the seasonal catch of the day.  If you are looking for a Character Breakfast, the Cape May Cafe's character breakfast is one of my favorites as you can spend some time eating Minnie waffles (yes, they are Minnie-shaped) while enjoying time with Minnie and friends.  While the big cheese - Mickey - is not at this breakfast, it is a great one to meet and greet other favorite characters.

If you are hoping for a lighter meal for dinner, Beaches and Cream Soda Shop is great for burgers and sandwiches.  But the real jewel is the dessert - the Kitchen Sink! But be sure to bring your friends as this dessert is full of six flavors of ice cream and every topping they have, and it serves four.  You can make a Dining Reservation for this restaurant, which would enable you to park at the Resort.

I hope this helps you, Patricia! If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, stop back here to see me. I'll be right here, at the second star to the right, and straight on til morning.

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
