We are DVC members staying at the Boardwalk during the christmas season. What is the club level? Does it cost extra? I just read a little about it today but still don't know what it is about.

    Howdy Matthew!

I am a huge proponent of the club-level rooms, suites and villas.  Thus far, we have stayed club-level at the Contemporary, Grand Floridian and Yacht Club.  We stayed at the Contemporary using Disney Vacation Club Points prior to Bay Lake Tower opening.  We have stayed at Grand Floridian a few times using DVC Points and we paid cash during our stay at Yacht Club.

Club level rooms, suites and villas do have higher per night room rates/higher points per night but in my humble opinion, they are worth every penny!

In addition to the standard amenities you will find at the Resort hotels and villas, you also receive amenities including:

    •Evening Turndown
•Secured key access to the club-level lounge, serving refreshments 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily
•Continental Breakfast, Midday Snacks and Evening Wine, Cheese, Cordials and Dessert
    •Complimentary health club access
•Pre-arrival Walt Disney World Resort itinerary planning
•Personalized Front Desk and Guest Services
•Complimentary newspapers in Club Level lounge

During your Boardwalk stay during the Christmas holiday, are you using points or paying cash?  I ask because Disney's Boardwalk Villas does not have club-level villas but Disney's Boardwalk Inn does.  Currently, the only Disney Vacation Club Resort at Walt Disney World that offers club-level villas is Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House.

If you have the opportunity to indulge in a club-level room, suite or villa, I would highly encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity!

Please let me know if you need any further information as you plan your next trip to Walt Disney World.  I love visiting during the Christmas season and I hope you enjoy every minute of your vacation.  Thanks so much for your question and have a magical day!!
