We are DVC members and season pass holders and visit 2-3 times a year. My girls are 9 and 14. I am worried that they will get bored with our trips and am looking for new things I should consider both at the parks and at the resorts.

Welcome Home, Ashley! I'm so glad to welcome you back to planDisney - I hope our advice has been helpful in the past. It's always a treat to lend a helping hand to a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, and I'm ready to share some recommendations for family fun at Walt Disney World Resort.

As a mom to two teenage daughters myself, I love this question! We've been visiting with our girls since they were babies, and our Disney vacations have changed quite a bit over the years as their interests have evolved. While we have plenty of family traditions that we include on every trip, I'm always on the lookout for new experiences to add some extra magic to our travels. Here are a few suggestions:
    • The Enchanting Extras Collection includes a variety of tours, special events, and behind-the-scenes experiences. I highly recommend Wild Africa Trek, an amazing adventure at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park for ages eight and up. This tour and several other Enchanting Extras may have discounts for DVC Members, so be sure to check the Member Benefits page for the most current information.
    • The Disney water parks are a blast, and as your kids are older, they can have more independence to tackle some of the slides! Guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel in 2025 receive free water park admission on check-in day, and DVC Members can usually purchase discounted tickets (subject to change).
    • Disney Springs is always a lot of fun for tweens and teens. There are great dining and shopping options for all ages, and you can also catch a movie, spend an evening bowling, or get a birds-eye view from the Aerophile balloon!
    • An absolute must-do at the Springs is the Cirque du Soleil show Drawn to Life. It combines the amazing feats of the Cirque artists with beloved Disney stories - our family loved it!
    • We always like to build in a non-park day or two to relax, enjoy the pools, and take advantage of the recreation activities at our resort. My favorite spot to do this is at Disney's Beach Club Villas and Disney's Boardwalk Villas, as their pools are outstanding and we can walk to Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf (another spot where you may enjoy a DVC discount)!
    • Book a larger villa and let your girls bring a friend. As Disney veterans, they will love sharing their favorite attractions and iconic snacks with their pals!
Ashley, I hope this information helps spark some ideas about new adventures to enjoy with your girls. Thanks so much for making a return visit to planDisney, and please come see us again anytime if we can help with other questions.

    Stay Magical!
