Hi Susan,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am glad to hear that you are planning a stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas. Whether you stay at
Kidani Village or
Jambo House, both of these resorts are amazing. I love the African art throughout the resorts, and seeing exotic animals on the savannas is amazing!
A lock-off villa is a two-bedroom villa that is made by opening doors between a one-bedroom villa and a deluxe studio. In a lock-off villa, you will thus have two entrances from the hallway to the villa. Two-bedroom villas typically sleep up to eight or nine guests, so your party will fit well into these. Depending on the makeup of your traveling party, it can be nice sometimes to shut the doors between the deluxe studio side and the one-bedroom side of a two-bedroom lock-off.
There are not any character meals offered at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas resorts. Although it is not a character meal, I highly recommend
Boma - Flavors of Africa, located at Jambo House, for breakfast. The buffet is amazing! There are both African flavors and traditional American fare. If you are looking for a character breakfast that continues the feeling of this resort, give
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom a try. At this location, you can again sample African or traditional American fare, and Donald Duck and his friends will greet you in their safari gear.
Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Susan!
