Hi Dean,
Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe the wait is finally over? No matter how many times I visit, that feeling I get as I'm pulling into a
Disney Vacation Club Resort never gets old. How exciting that you're only 24 hours away from being "Welcomed Home" to Walt Disney World Resort!
Since it sounds like you'll be arriving by car, I'm happy to explain how parking at Walt Disney World works for DVC Members. If you're staying at a Disney Vacation Club Resort during your visit, whether you're using Vacation Points or staying on a cash reservation, you'll enjoy
complimentary standard overnight self-parking at your Resort during your visit. If you're using Vacation Points to stay at a non-DVC Resort, you'll also enjoy those same complimentary parking benefits.
While only the self-parking is complimentary, you'll also have the option to upgrade to valet parking for an additional fee, if valet service is currently being offered at your Resort. If you choose to upgrade to valet parking, that charge will be included in your hotel folio during checkout. I've got more good news, too –– as a Disney Vacation Club Member, the complimentary standard parking you receive at your Resort also extends to Walt Disney World theme parks. That means you can also drive to any of the parks during your visit without paying any additional fees.
Before you arrive, you'll also want to be sure you've downloaded your
new Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership Card –– these digital cards have replaced physical DVC Membership Cards (those legendary "Blue Cards") which expired at the end of 2021. You can do this by using the My Disney Experience app to download a
Disney MagicMobile pass right to the digital wallet of your mobile device. With access to all your
DVC Member Benefits right at your fingertips, it's just like having your very own Membership magic wand!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Dean. I hope your upcoming visit is filled with Membership magic from beginning to end!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
