    Hello, we are DVC members leaving on the Fantasy 4/5/14! I'm wondering if the DVC 10% discount applies to the gift shops on the ship? If so, do we need to have our DVC card?? Thanks!

    Hi Tammy,

    How exciting to be going on a cruise on the Disney Fantasy...and so soon!  You must be counting down the days to your vacation.

    I checked into this, and I do not believe that there are any discounts at the merchandise locations on the Disney Cruise Line ships for Disney Vacation Club members.  I do suggest that you take your Disney Vacation Club member card with you in any case, and just inquire politely about discounts at the shops when you are making purchases, knowing that the answer is likely to be no.  All Disney Vacation Club member perks and discounts are subject to change, so you never know when one might come up.  Since a Disney Vacation Club member card is small and light, I think that you should carry it with you just in case, because you do need proof that you are a Disney Vacation Club member when taking advantage of Disney Vacation Club member perks and discounts.
