    We are DVC Members. If we dine at a restaurant or shop at a store that has a discount for DVC members, is it automatically applied when we pay with our magic bands or is there something else we have to do?

    Hi Sarah,

    Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Disney Vacation Club members who are eligible do have access to many Member Benefits, including discounts at many Disney dining and shopping locations. While these Member Benefits are subject to change, they are wonderful!

    Although MagicBands, once linked to a valid credit card, can be used to make purchases at many of these locations, they cannot yet be used to indicate your Disney Vacation Club membership for a discount. In order to receive the discount, you will to carry with you your Disney Vacation Club membership card as well as a valid photo ID.

    Now, Disney Vacation Club members can get a digital copy of our membership card that can be accessed from a mobile phone! Simply visit the Disney Vacation Club website, sign in, and under the "My DVC Membership" tab, select "My Membership Card" and follow the instructions to create a digital card.
