Hello! Do most DVC members buy the dining plan for their stay or do they purchase all of their groceries? Do you need to get a taxi and shop outside of the vacation club or is there a grocery store onsite?

    Hi Natalia,

DVC members use the Disney Dining Plan plus cook in their villas.  I think it is really dependent on the trip and who is going.  My family has done both although we tend to utilize the kitchen for mostly breakfasts and an occasional dinner.  We have done the Disney Dining Plan as well.  I have found that the DDP is most effective if you schedule all your Table Service meals for dinner and use all of the snacks and Quick Service meals. You don't need to hire a taxi to go the grocery store.  Every DVC resort has a grocery store that we use all the time.  You can even order groceries and have them delivered to your villa after 5:00 pm on the date of your check-in.   When you log onto www.dvcmember.com, click on the "Grocery List/Request Form" link under the "Plan My Vacation" tab.  This will show you all the groceries available at that resort.  If you would like more choices, you can visit www.gardengrocer.com for more options.  They deliver to all of the Walt Disney World Resorts.  Natalia, you can do as little cooking or as much as you like!  That's the beauty of being a DVC member!  Thank you for the question and please let me know if I can help you further!  Welcome Home!
