Hi there - we are DVC members & are booking a trip to Disney World in April or May 2014. I am wondering if you could help narrow it down to what resort you recommend (in the moderate and deluxe)? There are 2 families going (separate rooms). kids are 8-

Howdy Suzy!! It's so much fun to share a Walt Disney World vacation with another family!!

Your question was cut off so I hope I'm answering it correctly. Do I understand that you are Disney Vacation Club Members but you are seeking resorts other than DVC Villas for your stay? I see that there will be kiddos with you. I have listed a few suggestions but please let me know if you need other information as I would love to provide as much information as possible.

If the budgets of both families will allow for it, my 1st two choices are The Contemporary/Bay Lake Tower and the Grand Floridian. The ability to walk from The Contemporary to the Magic Kingdom is wonderful and any of the resorts on the monorail add magic and convenience to your Walt Disney World vacation! (The Polynesian is another fabulous choice!)

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is another favorite and my kiddos (currently 6 and 4) love watching the animals that can be seen throughout the resort.

If Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios are high on your list, I would recommend Beach Club or Yacht Club. The resorts are both great and the pools are incredible! (My son's (4) favorite resort is Beach Club because of the pool.)

We have two favorite moderate resorts.  Depending on whether you have pirates or princesses, one of these resorts might be great:  Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort has amazing pirate themed rooms. Every detail makes you feel as if you have set sail for adventures!  Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is the perfect resort if you will have princesses with you. The Royal Guest Rooms have oodles of regal touches including special headboards that create a "fireworks" display. Truly magical!!

You have so many choices!!!  I hope this helps you in your planning.  If you need any further information, please let me know.  Thanks so much for your question and have a magical day!!!
