Hey Howdy Hey, Evonne!
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for moseying by with your question. Yeehaw! How exciting that you have a trip planned for the Disneyland Resort. With this year being the 70th Anniversary, there is so much magic to experience. I am heading there in August myself, and I can't wait to see all of the special events and specialty treats during the happiest anniversary on earth.
Evonne, eligible Disney Vacation Club Members (those eligible for Member Extras) do receive discounts on select tickets, tours, events, and experiences. While we do not receive discounts on theme park tickets, you can
look through this list of current Member benefits and filter it to Disneyland to see where you may be able to add some extra pixie dust to your pocket.
Some of the most notable Member benefits at Disneyland include a
Member viewing area of Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! Parade and a reserved viewing area of Nighttime Spectaculars (subject to change.) I also checked with Disney Vacation Club, and if you are not planning to use your Disney Vacation Club Points for your Disney Resort stay, there may be a discount on the room rate for the Disney Vacation Club properties at Disneyland for cash-paying rooms. You can call
Member Services to inquire what, if any, discounts may be available for room rates.
And, you can also access the
Member Lounge - the Star View Station - which is located on the second floor of Star Wars Launch Bay at Disneyland Park. It's a great place to kick up your heels for a bit while enjoying complimentary snacks, drinks, and restrooms. Recharge your batteries (and your phones) and enjoy some air conditioning. Little ones will enjoy the Disney cartoons on the kid-sized chairs.
In my experience, there are many dining and merchandise locations that offer eligible Disney Vacation Club Members discounts; however, not all do. But it is always worth asking. Be sure you have your Digital Member ID downloaded to your digital wallet in your phone, as you will need to present this to receive any eligible DVC perks or benefits.
I hope this helps you, Evonne! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, giddy-up back here to see me, and I'll be so happy to help you. After all, you've got a friend in me!
Happy Trails,
Keri
