I am a DVC Member - If I visit the magic kingdom for one day, with no resort room stay, will I have to pay to park at the Magic Kingdom.

    Hi Michael,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question, my fellow Disney Vacation Club Member!

One of the great advantages of staying in a Deluxe Villa resort with our DVC membership is the fact that we don’t have to pay for parking when we visit a Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park. Even though I typically fly to the Central Florida area for my Disney Parks vacations, I’ve really gotten into the habit of renting a car to get around throughout my stay.

Unfortunately, from what I understand, complimentary self-parking is only available at the Theme Parks if you’re staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, on points or on cash, or if you have a Walt Disney World Annual Pass that includes complimentary parking as one of its benefits. As such, you’ll likely have to pay for parking when you visit Magic Kingdom Park for a single day, even if you’re a Disney Vacation Club member. That said, please check with the Cast Member who will be greeting you at the arrival plaza – you never know whether the policy has changed and you’ll be able to use your membership for parking privileges.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions about how to use your membership. We’re always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
