I am a DVC member. I am traveling to WDW in May and staying in three, 2 beds at Boardwalk. We will be celebrating a milestone birthday for my daughter, including several friends and family of various ages. Is there someone to talk to about logistics?

    Hiya, Rob,

Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney.  Oh boy, how exciting that you are planning a milestone celebration at Walt Disney World Resort. Our family has celebrated many milestones at Disney, including my father's 70th birthday, all of my kids' first birthdays, and many birthdays since.  It's such a wonderful place to make a loved one's day that much more special, with all of the extra pixie dust and magic in the kingdom.

Rob, for planning this momentous occasion, it depends on what you have in mind. If you need some assistance for planning more of an event around your daughter's birthday, with say a conference room or something on a larger scale, you can contact the Disney Events and Meetings team and they can assist you with this.

If you are looking to book a special dining experience for a large group, I recommend calling the Walt Disney World Reservations Team. The phone number is (407) 939-7529 and their hours of operation are 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, 365 days a year.  I did a quick search for the maximum number of Guests for whom you can book an Advance Dining Reservation online through the My Disney Experience account, and currently, you can book up to 20 Guests. However, the location that can accommodate a larger party may vary, so I recommend calling the Reservations team as they may be able to direct you to ways in which you can book your celebration at a specific location should you have one in mind.  They may also have different creative options for where to host your celebration and how to reserve it to accommodate the size of your party.

Additionally, Rob, for your daughter's birthday I have a few other recommendations to make the event special.  To add a little extra pixie dust to your Villa, you can order to have delivered to your room a gift basket of special snacks, balloons, or flowers. This is done through a third-party vendor with whom Walt Disney World partners, but I have done this for my own kids and it sure adds some extra special magic to make them feel special. You can even have a cake ordered for you at one of the restaurants!

I also recommend having a look at the Enchanting Extras Collection for booking a special experience for your daughter and friends. There are quite a few from which to choose, but a fireworks cruise or a special experience like horseback riding at Tri Circle-D Ranch, or even a backstage tour, would be a wonderful way to celebrate her special day.

Remember that once you arrive at Walt Disney World, stop by the Front Desk at Disney's BoardWalk Villas or visit Guest Services and ask for a celebration pin. Not only will she be greeted with extra "Happy Birthdays" during her vacation, but some restaurants even give her a special treat on the house to celebrate her.  My twins loved all of the birthday attention they received when they wore their celebration pins. It's another way to ensure she feels special.

I hope this helps you, Rob. If you have something more specific in mind, stop back to see me and I can further help you.  I hope your daughter has the most magical birthday on earth!

    See ya real soon!
