    I am a DVC member, and thought I read about a Downtown Disney shopping event sometime around Oct. 23. Am I going crazy? I can't find any information.

    A shopping event, huh?  Now THAT would be something for all of us shopaholics and Disney fans - put the two together and WOW!

    Unfortunately, like you, I have been unable to find any information about a special event on that day or in the month of October at Downtown Disney.  I even called to double check, and still did not find out about any thing.  This does not mean that something "special" is not happening at all that day, but it does mean that it is not currently being promoted by Disney.

    However, I did run across some information about the "Festival of the Masters", which is held at Downtown Disney November 11 - 13.  This is a whimsical, open-air art festival, featuring many amazing and award-winning artists, live music, specialty foods, and family-friendly activities.  Is it possible that this is the event you read about?

    Maybe it would be worthwhile to be at Downtown Disney on October 23rd, just in case something is going on - at least we know that a day spent there is never wasted, even if there is no "special event" going on!
