"Welcome home," Keena and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
Keena, as a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member I'm thrilled to chat with you about this very special club and how to make the most of your Membership. There have been multiple times where we have used up all of our
Vacation Points for the year (
or already had them allocated for a separate trip) and stayed as a cash guest, so I appreciate this question.
First, let's talk about parking at
Disney's Beach Club Resort. Officially the language reads:
"Members will not be charged for standard overnight self-parking when staying in a Disney Vacation Club Deluxe Villa at Walt Disney World Resort, Disney's Vero Beach Resort or Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, regardless of whether they use Vacation Points or another form of payment." Keena, this does mean that when you are staying at a resort withOUT a Disney Vacation Club affiliation you will be charged for standard parking. For example, this fall my husband and I will be staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort and should we choose to bring a car, we will need to pay for parking.
Now, Keena, while you won't be staying using your Vacation Points, I'm happy to share that you ARE still able to enjoy all of
the discounts associated with your Membership. I love pulling out my blue card at a Table-Service restaurant or when buying merchandise. Those savings certainly add up, so make sure that blue card is handy! Keena, you'll also be able to visit the
Member Lounge at EPCOT. This is always a priority spot for my kids each and every time we visit EPCOT and I hope you'll be able to relax and enjoy the views.
I hope this information is helpful as your vacation is
just around the river bend! With the return of fireworks, I know you're in for a SPECTACULAR visit where you can
reach out and find your Happily Ever After.
Please come on back with any additional questions.
Lauren
