Hello I am a DVC member and have to set of points. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to plan a big family trip but would need multiple rooms. Can that be done with DVC points and if so how do I figure that out?

    Welcome to planDisney, Julie!

There's nothing I love more than chatting with fellow Disney Vacation Club Members –– thanks so much for dropping by with a question about your Membership.  If you're really looking to plan a Disney vacation that's practically perfect in every way, what better way to do that than by bringing the gang along with you?  How exciting that you're planning to share the magic of Disney with your whole family during your next visit!

Here's the great news –– not only can you use your Disney Vacation Club Vacation Points to book multiple rooms when you're traveling with a large group, but DVC rooms also happen to be the perfect home-away-from-home lodgings for accommodating large families.  And while you always have the option to book separate rooms for your party, depending on how many people you'll be traveling with, you might also want to consider booking a 1-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom, or 3-Bedroom Grand Villa so your whole family can stay together.  Not only do these incredible Villas have the option to sleep up to 12 Guests, each one has a fully-equipped kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, a dedicated dining area, and an in-room washer and dryer (as someone who often travels with a large, multi-generational group, take it from me when I tell you're they're amazing).

Whether you're booking one large Villa or several smaller rooms, you have two options. You can use the Member booking portal on the Disney Vacation Club website or give Member Services a call at (800) 800-9800, where a Cast Member will be happy to help you make your reservations. If you do opt to book multiple rooms, just keep in mind that you'll need to list the Guests who will be staying in each room at the time of booking.  Don't worry, though –– a DVC Member doesn't need to occupy the room, even if you're using Points, so you're welcome to book the room for anyone you like.  Finally, after you've confirmed your bookings, be sure to share the Reservation Number with the primary Guest on each reservation. They'll be able to use this as their Confirmation Number in order to link the upcoming stay to their own My Disney Experience account

Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, Julie.  I hope this helped to answer your question, but if you need more information or think of new questions as you plan your upcoming visit, please don't hesitate to visit us again –– we're always here to lend a helping hand!

    Have a Most-Magical Day,
