I am a DVC member and a question about the dining plan. I know they are increasing the price from 38.99 to 45.99--do you still think it is worth it to purchase it or should we just pay as we go? I really love using the dining plan,.

Hi Chad! The 2010 Disney Dining Plan price is $41.99 per night per guest over 10 years of age and the 2011 Disney Dining Plan price is $45.99 per night per guest over 10 years of age. The 2010 and 2011 Disney Dining Plan price is $11.99 per night per guest ages 3 -9.

We recently vacationed using the Disney Dining Plan and I did a price comparison before booking our plan. After I booked all of our Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) and planned which Parks we would attend based on our confirmed ADRs, I also planned for our Quick Service Meals for each day. I used www.allears.net Dining Menus for prices and made dining choice guesses based on my families typical dining preferences. I could see approximately how much we would spend per day on dining and compare this to the cost for the Disney Dining Plan. The Disney Dining Plan was more affordable. I even made adjustments to menu selections to plan for the least expensive out of pocket costs and the Disney Dining Plan still won.

I would recommend that you make a similar price comparison prior to booking the Disney Dining Plan. Hope this helps.
