Hi there Torie, welcome to planDisney!
It's always great to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member and assist with travel plans and any questions that come up, thank you for stopping by!
How wonderful that you're planning a trip to
The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, you can't get much closer to a theme park! The resort is conveniently located just steps from the entrance to
Disney California Adventure Park which is perfect for being able to pop back to the resort if a mid-day break is needed or if you have dining booked at one of the resort's restaurants such as the hearty
Storytellers Cafe or the upscale
Napa Rose to name a few.
Speaking of Disney California Adventure Park, here you'll find the home of Lightning McQueen. Guests can tour Ornament Valley and become a
Radiator Springs Racer zipping over hills, around turns while taking in the views of the spectacular red-rock formations. While you may not be driving quite as fast as Lightning McQueen, you'll still need a place to park your vehicle while you're a guest at the resort. I have great news, Torie, I spoke with a Cast Member who confirmed that Guests of The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are eligible for complimentary self-parking for up to two vehicles. When you check-in to the resort, let the Cast Member at Front Desk know that you have a vehicle with you and will be accessing the parking. They will work their magic and you won't have to worry about your vehicle at all!
Tip: When visiting
Disneyland Park, don't forget to drop by the Disney Vacation Club
Star View Station, a Member Lounge located in Tomorrowland. It's the first-ever DVC Member lounge in Disneyland Park. Inside, you can take a break, relax in comfy seating, enjoy refreshing air conditioning on hot days, and savor complimentary soft drinks and more!
I hope this information helps you with your vacation planning, Torie. If you have any additional questions, please visit us again at planDisney, we'd love to help!
Welcome Home,
Candace
