"Welcome home," Sabrina! I love being able to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member about traveling to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
You bring up a great question about how to safeguard your vacation. When we are using our
Disney Vacation Club points we also purchase tickets separately so I understand how this can be nerve wracking.
My first recommendation is to take a look at the
Travel Insurance offered by Disney Vacation Club. For a set fee per use year, this insurance covers a myriad of different issues and might be a great option for you, particularly if you're traveling more than one time per use year.
Also, it might be helpful to know that if your travel plans change prior to your check in, meaning you haven't used any of your park tickets yet, you are able to change the dates of the tickets. To do this, you will log into your
My Disney Experience account and click on "My Plans." From here you can select different ticket dates if needed. Be aware that depending upon the change, there may be a price difference that you would need to pay. You can also call directly into the
Existing Tickets line at Guest Services and a Cast Member will walk you through this process.
Sabrina, I hope this helps as you are preparing for your next arrival "home." Wishing you a Magical stay with pixie dust to spare. Please come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have.
