Laura, as a Disney Vacation Club Member for over 20 years, I can say the flexibility of Membership has helped so many of our vacation dreams come true. It really has granted the wish our hearts made of affordable vacations, year after year.
Laura, there are two circumstances for when you can use a
combination of both DVC Vacation Points and cash for your vacation:
1. For use at a
Disney Vacation Club Resort Hotel: In this case, you can use a combination of Disney Vacation Club Points and cash, however, each night has to be paid in full by one or the other. So, for example, if you have enough Vacation Points to cover two nights and want to pay cash for the other nights of your stay, you can. However, you can't pay for one of the nights partially by Vacation Points and partially in cash.
2. For use on
Disney Cruise Line Sailings and
Adventure by Disney vacations: In this case, one person has to be paid in full using Reservation Points, and the remaining Guests can be paid for in cash. However, you can't split the cost between Reservations Points and cash to pay for a person.
If you choose to combine your Vacation Points and cash to make a booking,
Member Services can let you know the rate for the cash portion at that time. Rates can vary based on location, room type, and time of year of booking, so when you call Member Services to inquire about the booking, they can let you know the rate at that time.
