I would like to do a DVC member cruise, how do I do that?

Ahoy Elizabeth, welcome home and welcome back to planDisney! Disney Vacation Club member cruises are the best! My family’s first ever Disney Cruise Line sailing was on a member cruise and that sailing set the bar high for us for all future sailings, and luckily Disney Cruise Line continues to deliver with each successive sailing. Now, let’s talk about how to book a member cruise.

The 2027 member cruise sailing aboard the Disney Wonder along the Pacific Coast has unfortunately sold out. Member cruises are very popular with DVC members and typically sell out the day registration opens for bookings. In fact, on registration day Member Services typically dedicates all its resources that day to supporting registration.

To give you an idea of the amount of Vacation Points or cash needed to book a member cruise, here’s a link to the point chart and cash rates for the 2027 member cruise. Note that you have to be a DVC member eligible for Membership Extras to book a member cruise. If you have your heart set on a DVC member cruise, you’ll want to call Member Services from time to time to see if there are any openings for the 2027 member cruise as cancellations may occur. Also, be on the lookout for news regarding a member cruise in 2028 so you can be one of the first to register and experience this unique event!

While the member cruise isn’t available, you also have the opportunity to exchange Vacation Points for many different Disney Cruise Line sailings through the Disney collection. Here are the point charts for sailings through summer 2027. In addition, DVC is also offering some select itineraries designed to take your points further aboard the Disney Dream and the Disney Wonder. To view them, visit this page and scroll down to where it says "Take Your Points Further!" and select "Read More" to see the point charts for those itineraries.

Elizabeth, I know this may not be the answer you’re looking for and I wish you all the pixie dust that you are able to successfully register for a member cruise in the future. And when you do, make sure you bring an empty suitcase. You’ll need it for all the gifts and souvenirs DVC gives as a thank you for participating in this exclusive event! If you have any further questions about Disney cruises or your DVC membership, please feel free to contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
