As a DVC member how do I buy park tickets and do I get a discount?

    Hey There, Diane!

Welcome home to planDisney from a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member.  Can you believe your Walt Disney World Resort holiday is just around the corner?  After all that planning (and waiting!), you're finally in the home stretch and you'll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. before you know it!  But before you can experience all the excitement of The Most Magical Place on Earth, you're going to need one very important thing –– tickets, of course!  Let me share a few details about your theme park admission options so you're ready to hit the ground running when you arrive.

Currently, there aren't any special offers for Walt Disney World theme park admission available to Disney Vacation Club Members, but there are still some great ways to save during your visit.  If you're up for an evening of frightful fun, DVC Members can take advantage of discounted tickets to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party throughout the month of October.  Members can also enjoy specially-discounted rates for many experiences from the Enchanting Extras Collection, including the wildly-popular Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom Park (this tour has been on my Disney Wish List for quite some time and I'm finally planning to experience it with a few of my fellow Panelists later this year –– I can't wait!). For a full list of discounts you can enjoy during your stay, you'll definitely want to visit the Member Benefits section of the Disney Vacation Club website.

When you're ready to purchase your tickets, you can do this right from the Walt Disney World website. Depending on your length of stay, there are currently some great deals available for Guests from across The Pond, so be sure to give those a look for another great way to save.  After you've purchased your tickets, you'll also need to make your Disney Park Pass reservations for each day you plan to visit a Walt Disney World theme park.  It's not unusual to see reservations fill up for some parks as the date approaches, so I suggest making these as soon as possible for the best park selection during your visit. Just like purchasing tickets, these reservations can be made on the World Disney World website –– simply hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab and select "Reservations and Tickets" from the drop-down menu to get started.

Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, Diane.  I hope this helped to answer your question and I'm wishing you lots of Membership magic and plenty of pixie dust during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit!
