As a DVC member can we bring our own cooler to the pool deck at the Aulani Resort? If so are we allowed to consume our own alcohol on the pool deck? We also wanted to know if we rented a cabana if we would be allowed to consume our own alcoholic beverages?

    Hi Jessica,

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  A visit to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa should be absolutely wonderful.  It sounds like you are planning to spend a lot of time at the amazing pool areas at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa.  These pool areas look lush and relaxing.  From the zero-entry large Waikolohe Pool with a waterslide, to Ka Maka Grotto, which includes an infinity edge pool and twinkling lights after dark, there is something for everyone in the water at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.

In the "Know Before You Go" sections about the pool areas at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, the policies listed indicate that you cannot bring outside alcohol or coolers to the pool areas.  Coolers are permitted for medical reasons.  These policies are the same for the poolside cabanas at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.  This information also indicates that you should ask for an up-to-date list of these policies when you arrive at the resort, so I do suggest that you ask for one of these lists upon arrival to see if any of these policies have changed.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Jessica.  Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
