    Hi, I am a DVC member and attending my first runDisney race this November. However, I am not staying in a host resort (sold out!). What transportation options are available to ESPN and Animal Kingdom for the 5K race from Jambo House? Thank you!

    Hi there, Rebecca! 

    Welcome to the wonderful world of runDisney! I hope you are excited and looking forward to your first race event. 

    Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a beautiful property, but as you know, it is not a host resort during the 2014 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. Your only transportation option, without a personal vehicle or rental car, would be a taxi service - especially on race morning as theme park bus transportation will not be operating at that time. However, to get to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for packet pick-up and the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo, you do have the option of taking theme park transportation to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, transferring to a resort bus headed to the Disney All-Star Resorts or Disney's Pop Century Resort, and then using event transportation to the Complex. It's a bit of an adventure, but will save you taxi fare to get to the expo at least.

    I know these transportation options are not ideal, but I hope this information is helpful in your planning process. If you should have any additional questions please do not hesitate to ask!
