One of the many benefits that come with being part of
Disney Vacation Club is that you're able to use your
Vacation Points for stays not only at your Home Resort, but any DVC resort. That flexibility is so nice - although we often choose to stay at
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows (our Home Resort), it's always fun to visit a new resort and check it off our DVC bucket list!
Mark, I checked with Cast Members from both DVC and Walt Disney World about your question regarding the
Magical Extras package. Unfortunately, this is only available for Guests booking through Walt Disney World directly, and DVC stays using a Member's own points do not qualify for the package.
I'm sorry this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but I do want to draw your attention to the
Member Benefits section of the DVC website. Here, you'll find all sorts of deals and discounts available for DVC Members that you can hopefully use during your trip. I always spend some time checking the latest offers here before we travel, and there are some really good ones currently on the site, including discounts on dining, shopping, experiences, and tickets. If you're not sure if a particular spot offers a DVC discount, just ask!
One additional benefit that I hope you can take advantage of is
free water park admission on your check-in day. Guests arriving through September 8 who are staying at a Walt Disney World hotel - including the DVC resorts - may visit either
Disney's Blizzard Beach water park or
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park on their arrival date at no charge. That sounds like the perfect way to cool off after a long trip!
