    I am DVC member, Annual Pass holder & Disney Visa. I know they all give discounts-but how do you know which is best? I know last trip to WDW they said they can not offer any discounts "you must ask for them"! Ex: % off meal but not meal plans

    Hi Denise! I also am a DVC member that carries a Disney Visa. I even carry my AAA card with me at all times and inquire with every purchase which discounts are being offered. On our DVC member site there is information detailing special discounts and locations that will offer the discount to DVC members. I have noticed that most discounts tend to be 10% and that you must ask in order for the discount to be applied, they do not automatically give it to you when you use your Disney Visa for example. During my visit in December, I had to spend more than $50 to get the 10% discount off the entire purchase using my Disney Visa. 

    Once you get into the habit of inquiring prior to ordering your meal and at the time of purchases, it is a breeze to save money! My friends often ask me how I save money while vacationing and even return home with unused traveler's cheques or under budget - the secret is discounts, discounts and more discounts!
