Hiya, Johnny! Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with your vacation planning question. I always love chatting with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member!
Wow, two decades of being a DVC Member! I've been a Member for seven years and already have countless memories, and I can't imagine how many magical memories you must have! I have to agree that the past two years have been full of hardships and uncertainty for everyone, including us DVC Members who are ready to return to the magic of The Most Magical Place on Earth. As someone who has a trip planned next month and accidentally let her daughter's Walt Disney World Annual Pass expire (Whoops!), I can relate to this planning problem and am happy to answer your question today.
You are correct that sales of all out-of-state Walt Disney World Annual Passes, even the Sorcerer Pass exclusively for DVC Members, are currently temporarily paused, and unfortunately, there has been no announcement on when the sales will resume again. But I will be wishing upon every star that they become available soon, and I do have a suggestion. I recommend that you buy your theme park tickets for your June trip now so that you can make your
Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass system to lock down your park days. Since Park Pass reservations are required for everyone to enter all four of the theme parks, this is a planning step you definitely don't want to skip. Then, if our wishes come true and sales of new Annual Passes resume before your trip, you should be able to then upgrade your tickets to an Annual Pass. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Passholder page on the Walt Disney World website for the news on the return of new Annual Pass sales as soon as it drops!
While we wait for the return of the sales of new Annual Passes, have you heard about the return of so much DVC magic?! I was SO excited to hear that Top of the World Lounge will be returning soon! This Member-exclusive lounge, located on the 16th floor of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, is my favorite spot to grab a snack and a cocktail and watch fireworks. Don't forget to stop by our other lounge, the
Member Lounge at EPCOT, to cool off, grab a complimentary soft drink, and recharge your (and your phone's) battery. I was also thrilled to hear about the return of the
Moonlight Magic events, and I can't wait to do the
Disney Vacation Club Enchantment Fireworks Cruise! This awesome fireworks cruise for Members and their guests offers sweet treats, champagne, and some of the best fireworks views around. These cruises set sail only on Wednesday evenings, so, if this fits in your upcoming vacation plans,
call Member Services to book! Speaking of booking, don't forget that your booking window for dining reservations and
Enchanting Extras opens 60 days before your arrival date, which, if I have your arrival date correct, is
very soon! Happy booking!
Johnny, I hope you get your Annual Pass very soon, and I hope you stop by any time with any vacation planning or DVC questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
