Hey there, hi there, Amy! Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with such a great holiday vacation planning question. Chatting Disney with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member just makes my day!
Some of my most magical Disney memories are from spending Thanksgiving Day at The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I'm so excited to hear that you will soon be making your own magical memories. My family and I always spend Thanksgiving Day at Magic Kingdom Park, and there just seems to be extra magic in the air. With the holiday decorations hung with care and the feeling of gratitude in our hearts, it's the perfect way to kickstart the joy of the holiday season. Of course, if you're anything like me, it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without eating a ton of delicious food, so let's chat about your dining options.
Although I never had the opportunity to attend, I definitely remember the Disney Vacation Club Thanksgiving Dinner! It was held in the Fantasia Ballroom at Disney's Contemporary Resort and consisted of a full Thanksgiving feast and even an adorable character meet-and-greet. Unfortunately, it has not yet been announced if this DVC event will be returning. But I recommend keeping a close eye on the
Member Benefits page of the DVC website and
Disney Parks Blog to be the first to hear if this event will be taking place this year.
If the DVC Thanksgiving dinner is not offered this year, don't fret! There will be plenty of incredible Thanksgiving dining experiences to enjoy. Of course,
Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom Park and
Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT serve delicious Thanksgiving fare year-round, but I found that most restaurants offer a special Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day. My family and I always enjoy a Thanksgiving lunch at
The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom. I just love the beautiful glass building with unbeatable views of Cinderella Castle and the holiday decorations while I enjoy a Thanksgiving feast with my family. Talk about thankful!
Wherever you have Thanksgiving dinner, don't forget to ask your server about a
DVC discount, and be sure to have your
digital DVC Membership Card and a photo ID handy.
Amy, while this may not have been the answer you were hoping for, I hope it was at least helpful. I hope you have the most magical and memorable upcoming vacation and Thanksgiving holiday. Please stop by any time with any vacation planning or DVC questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
