Hi Margo! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My pick would be The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - it's the perfect balance for you and your extended family.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a beautiful place to stay and defined by one word...elegance! And of course it's a monorail resort so you'll be able to roll your granddaughter's stroller right on without having to collapse it as you head to Magic Kingdom Park.
Your granddaughter will love the Alice In Wonderland-themed kids’ water play area at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa....it's the perfect mix of “tea party” and “pool party.” An upturned Mad Hatter’s hat dumps water when it fills up, and an over sized teapot spills water into a series of teacups, showering the little ones below. Our kids loved playing under sprinklers and waterspouts, or sliding down the mini water slides.
Disney's Boardwalk Villas, and The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge are some of my other favorites I would suggest for your family vacation.
Character dining with Mickey and friends is available at Chef Mickey’s, Cape May Cafe, Garden Grill, ‘Ohana (breakfast only), Mickey's Backyard BBQ and Tusker House (breakfast only).
For a meet and greet with Disney's Frozen characters
Elsa and Anna head over to Princess Fairytale Hall
in Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland. You can also see them in the Festival of Fantasy Parade and in the Show at Disney's Hollywood Studios "For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration."
Wising you a magical and memorable Disney Vacation!
