Well, hello there, Louise!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Thank you for asking such a wonderful question. Magical transformations are always happening at Walt Disney World Resort and specifically Disney Vacation Club, Louise. And, as a
Disney Vacation Club Member, I am particularly excited about the newest ones at
The Villas at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You are correct that this Resort has just added a new section in the Big Pine Key building. You are going to love these new Resort Studios and Villas that are fit for the finest of tastes, even Mary Poppins.
Speaking of everyone's favorite magically-gifted nanny, the newest Disney Vacation Club Studios and Villas in the Big Pine Key building, are simply supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. They maintain the Victorian elegance throughout the Grand Floridian, with a hint of Mary Poppins throughout. Now, Louise, you specifically asked about the poolside balconies in the Resort Studios. If you are inquiring if they will be dark since they are in the shade, I can tell you that in my experience, with the wonderful Florida sun and the thoughtful thematic rooms at all of the Disney Resort Hotels, they always feel as bright and as shiny as anything popping out of Mary's magical bag.
However, if you are unhappy with your room when you arrive, you can check with the Front Desk to see if there is an alternate room available when you arrive. The Cast Members will do their best to accommodate should you be unsatisfied in any way. You can also contact
Disney Vacation Club Member Services to ask specific questions about the pool-facing rooms. Whichever location or view you choose, you will continue to experience all of the Disney magic while enjoying the benefits of your home away from home.
I hope this helps you, Louise. If you have further Disney Vacation Club questions,
stop back and see me and I'll be so happy to help you!
I hope your Disney vacation is practically perfect in every way!
Keri
