Hi Christine! Welcome to planDisney!
Having recently returned from a winter getaway to the
Walt Disney World Resort, I can attest that January and February are a great timeframe to visit the
Most Magical Place on Earth! The weather is typically milder than the rest of the year, which allows you to tour the parks more comfortably. It has not been announced yet, but I expect the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts to return during this time. In my opinion, this is a can't miss festival and the best one that is offered throughout the year. The
Disney on Broadway Concert Series is a highlight event that my family attended twice throughout our trip. It was that GOOD!
Based on years past,
ticket packages for the following year are generally released at the beginning of the summer. I would expect sometime around June 2022 an announcement to be made about ticket and vacation packages for 2023. The
Disney Parks Blog is a great resource to utilize and follow for any updates.
If you have not visited since the reopening, once your park tickets are purchased, you will need to make
park reservations for the specific park you plan on visiting on that date. To do so, link your park tickets to your
My Disney Experience account and follow the prompts to make your park reservations. You can make changes once you select a park as long as there is still availability for that date. My family decided on our trip to change our
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park day until later in the week due to the weather. It was as simple as canceling our current reservation and booking the new date.
Christine, I hope you have the most magical time on your trip next year. There is nothing like starting off the New Year with Mickey, Minnie, and friends!
Happy planning!
Greg
