Hi Jean,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am so pleased to hear that you have already tried a Disney Vacation Club resort, also known as a
Deluxe Villa resort. Any guest can book these resorts using a traditional payment method such as a cash or a credit card. This is a great way to see if Disney Vacation Club is right for you. Since you are considering becoming members, I highly recommend taking the
Open House Tour. At an Open House Tour, a guide will be able to answer questions individually to you about if Disney Vacation Club membership is right for you.
I have also stayed in a one-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary resort, and I love how spacious they are! My family also really appreciates the separation of space in a one-bedroom villa. The resorts at Walt Disney World that can accommodate five guests in a one-bedroom villa are: Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Old Key West Resort, The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - both Kidani Village and Jambo House. Do be careful when booking Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House, as there are one-bedroom units there that accommodate either four or five guests. The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa in California and Aulani Disney Vacation Club Villas in Hawaii both accommodate five guests in the one-bedroom villas. Both Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort and Disney's Vero Beach Resort also can accommodate up to five guests in their one-bedroom villas.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Jean! If you do decide to become a Disney Vacation Club member, it will be truly magical the first time you arrive and hear those wonderful words, "Welcome home."
