Have another Q. During our visit, I was wanting to maybe take my Daughter to Kennedy Space Center.Staying @POFQ,with no car. What is the most affordable way to get there? Thanks.

    Hi Kimberly,

There is a company I have heard of called Kennedy Space Center Tours(you can check out all the information on their website if you Google this company name) and they offer transportation only from select locations or you can pay more to have a full tour experience including your transportation. If you want just transportation, their rates start at approx. $54.95 for a child or $59.95 for an adult (there may be some specials where you can save another $5.00 by booking through the internet) plus convenience charges and processing fees. If you have a child under the age of 3 and they sit on an adults lap, they would be free of charge. The convenience with this service is that they do have some nice, close pick-up points for guests staying at Walt Disney World, but I don't know how reputable this company is as it is only from "word of mouth". The following list are some pick-up points and times that you may be interested in and the ones in bold are the ones that would be easiest for you to choose:

    Kissimmee
8:05 am - Disney All Star Music Resort - Walt Disney World - Lake Buena Vista
8:10 am - Disney Swan Resort - Walt Disney World - Lake Buena Vista
8:10 am - Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista - 8442 Palm Parkway - Lake Buena Vista
    8:15 am - Crossroads Plaza - 12521 State Road 535 - Lake Buena Vista

Okay, I have to say that my opinion on this would be to rent a car for the day and not be tied down to a certain time schedule (pick-up times before and after with a tour company), you will have to be ready to depart Kennedy Space Center at 5:30pm and will return back at your designated pick-up point by approximately 6:30pm. Renting a car gives you freedom throughout the day and it will work out to be a much cheaper transportation option as well (just my opinion). Good luck with whatever you choose to do and have fun at Kennedy Space Center!

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
