During our visit, MK opens at 9am. We have a BOG reservation at 8:50am (hoping to get a lower crowd picture at Cinderellas castle) When do the photo pass photographers come out? How early can we enter MK? What time can we catch the bus from AOA? :-)

Hello, Mary! Your vacation is getting closer and closer, and I know you’re ready and raring to go! Early mornings at Magic Kingdom are even more magical now that Main Street, U.S.A. allows guests to explore before the park is open!

Magic Kingdom is the only park to allow guests through the turnstiles before the park is open, and Cast Members still hold up ropes to each “land” where guests can gather to watch the spectacular “Let The Magic Begin” opening show that takes place about 10 minutes before the park officially opens. In the meantime, grab a coffee from Main Street Bakery, pickup must-have embroidered Mickey Ears at the Chapeau, or treat your kids to a magical haircut at Harmony Barber Shop. There will be official Disney PhotoPass Photographers around to snap your family’s photo before the park opens, so be sure to brush your teeth and smile for the birdie in front of Cinderella Castle! Oh, and after you get that perfect family picture, be sure to ask for a Magic Shot!

I check in to my dining reservations 5-10 minutes before they begin to Cast Members can ready the table, so entering the park at 8am on a 9am-opening-day is perfect for you. You can check with your Resort Front Desk or Concierge about the bus schedule for your early morning (they typically start slightly over an hour before opening), or you can try your hand at an UBER (if busses aren’t available). Perhaps the Minnie Vans will be fully operational by that point; what a stylish way to arrive to breakfast!  But remember, as Edna Mode says: NO CAPES!  ~ Lindsey P.
