October from KY Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

During this time, COVID time, can I charge to my room using my magic band at quick service? I hear a lot about using the mobile order in the Disney App but how can I charge to my room? Trying not to carry too much with us.

    Howdy October!

Welcome to planDisney!  Thank you for sharing your questions with us!

I am so excited for you! I know you are ready to be at the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few weeks to make “Memories to Last a Lifetime!”  The Walt Disney World Resort is doing an amazing job keeping guests safe.

They have taken quite a few measures to encourage physical distancing and minimal person-to-person contact!
To maintain these measures, they encourage all guests to use the Mobile Food Ordering on your My Disney Experience.  When you decide which quick-service works for your party, then you will place your order using your My Disney Experience App on your smartphone.  The credit card linked to your My Disney Experience and your MagicBand will be charged for that meal.  With your MagicBand and your My Disney Experience App, you are all set!  If you decide to purchase popcorn, a drink, or my favorite, the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, you will need to tap your MagicBand at that kiosk to make those purchases.  The Walt Disney World Resort has made everything user friendly and easily accessible with the My Disney Experience and your MagicBand!  If you have any questions when you approach a quick-service or a food and drink kiosk, then I recommend asking a Cast Member, and they will help you with anything to assist in making your experience stress free.  I have placed links in the highlighted areas above to gather further information on your My Disney Experience and Mobile Food Ordering.

You will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during my favorite time of the year!  The Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be in full bloom!  This festival is perfect for all ages!  We love the beautiful topiary displays located throughout the theme park!  There are many unique cuisines, beverages, and so much more that await you at this fantastic festival!

Make sure to check the Disney Parks Blog to stay up-to-date on everything to do and see while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in March!  If you have any more questions while you are planning, please come back to planDisney!  We look forward to helping you with any further planning questions, October!

    See Ya Real Soon,
