Joanne from NS Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

During our summer vacation 2020, we will be staying off property until getting our Disney Resort fix for our final night. (Saving the best for last!) Will we still qualify for the Magical Express if only having a one night WDW reservation?

    Welcome BACK, Joanne!

It's great to see you asking another great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited that you're planning another trip Home. So much great stuff has opened recently, like the brand new world of Batuu, aka Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, and there's still so much great stuff to come this yEAR!

Yes! Guests of a Disney Resort Hotel, even for just one night, are entitled to all of the benefits of that stay, such as a brand new MagicBand, Extra Magic Hours for both your check-in and check-out day, and most important, the complimentary ride back to Orlando International Airport on Disney's Magical Express motorcoach. I've done this a few times myself - you can either add your return flight information to your Disney Resort Hotel reservation as you book your room, or you can add the info in person at the front desk of your home-away-from-home.

I hope this answer helped to plan your upcoming Disney Days, Joanne, and We'll See You Real Soon!
