Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Kathryn. We're so glad you stopped by! It looks like you'll be visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort next Summer. How wonderful! It's the perfect time to enjoy the you-may-get-wet attractions in the theme parks and your Disney Resort hotel's unique feature pool.
You'll love
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. With cobblestone streets, gaslit lamps, wrought-iron balconies, and the smooth sounds of jazz floating through the air, you'll feel like you've been transported to the heart of New Orleans! You'll also get a chance to enjoy the newly renovated Guest rooms. They're lovely! I've been a Guest of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter several times now, and while I've never witnessed the resorts sharing a bus, it
is possible. In terms of how long it takes to travel by bus to each of the theme parks from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, expect about a 25-minute ride. It's always a good idea to allow yourself 45-60 minutes to travel throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. This gives you a buffer when factoring in the time it takes to wait for a bus at your hotel and then the walk from where the bus parks to the theme park entrance.
Be sure to stop by
Scat Cat's Club - Café during your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. There you'll find freshly-baked, Mickey-shaped, Tiana-approved beignets! They're just heavenly, especially with strawberry dipping sauce. Yum!
I hope this was helpful, Kathryn. Please let us know if you have any other questions about the Walt Disney World Resort! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
