During a recent stay at Boardwalk we accumulated multiple arcade cards because of difficulties adding to existing cards. Is there a way to combine the cards together? Some have points that are too small to do anything with but could be cleared if combined.

    Hi Theresa,
Welcome to planDisney! Fix-It Felix and Wreck-It Ralph are so glad you spent some time in their favorite setting during your recent Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

As you experienced, a Game Card is required to play games at Walt Disney World Resort arcades. The Game Card stations found at each arcade currently allow you to purchase new cards and recharge old ones; unfortunately, they do not offer a way of combining multiple cards into one. The good news, Theresa, is that Walt Disney World Resort Game Cards do not expire and can be used at any Walt Disney World Resort arcade. Use the following steps to recharge your Game Card(s):

    1. Insert Cash or Credit Card into the machine
    2. Select the amount of points you'd like to purchase
    3. Swipe your existing Game Card through the card reader
    4. Click "yes" if you'd like a receipt

In doing the Mickey Math, it might not make sense for you to recharge each Game Card, since your price per point decreases with higher point purchases. In my experience, cards containing too few points for your family's use can be gifted to other Guests just beginning their stay. I find the power of passing along a little Disney magic to be just as rewarding as a high score in skeeball.

Cast Members are not always present at Walt Disney World Resort arcades, though some resorts offer an hour of Arcade Tournament play each afternoon. This would be a good opportunity to ask a member of the Recreation Team if they can help with your specific situation. If you're ever able to clear any of your extra Game Cards, I made a mental note during my last arcade visit at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge that there's a place to recycle used Game Cards near the Game Card machines.

Whether you're a pinball prodigy or a racer like Vanellope von Schweetz, I hope you return to a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and arcade real soon. The magic is calling!

    Score high,
    Jennifer
