Hi there, Amber, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Thanks for your question. I’d be so happy to suggest some great ways to celebrate your husband’s 50th birthday celebration that may help him love the
Disney Parks as much as you do! I definitely understand the desire to tailor your trip to your husband’s tastes, as my husband’s Disney enthusiasm isn’t quite as robust as my own, but I too plan to keep trying!
One idea that comes to mind is some adults only fine dining! On a recent solo trip, I had dinner at the bar at
Narcoossee’s in
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and met a couple who had come on the
Monorail to have a birthday drink and dinner at the Restaurant bar, and were going to continue to visit each bar on the Monorail route! This includes
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and
Disney’s Contemporary Resort, where you can find the
California Grill, which is in my opinion one the best of fine dining locations in all of Walt Disney World Resort! Plus, it boasts an outdoor terrace with views of the
Magic Kingdom Park fireworks with music!
Also, if your husband is a golfer, Walt Disney World Resort has many Golf Courses on property, and you can even book a
Golf Lesson for your husband! There is
horseback riding on the woodland trails at
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Another activity to consider is some time at
Disney Springs exploring the dining and shopping destinations and other activities available there! For example,
Stargazers Bar has frequent live music which can be enjoyed from their outdoor patio! If you like Spanish food, I highly recommend
Jaleo by José Andrés at Disney Springs for an authentic meal and immersive experience!
Lastly, make sure you check out Disney Floral & Gifts in case you’re interested in adding a special gift for him during your stay, or a
Cake Delivery to the Disney Restaurant of your choice to commemorate his special day!
Amber, I hope your husband’s special day is filled with many wonderful things! Once he sees your passion for Disney combined with your desire to make his day special, I am sure he will soon be as excited for your Disney World visits as you are!
See ya real soon!
