During the month of July, will there be alot of animals to see at the Animal Kingdom or will it be too hot for them to be out and about?

    Hi Sylvia,

Disney's Animal Kingdom is high on our priority list when we visit Walt Disney World Resort. When traveling during the heat of the summer, I always make sure to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom at Park opening, if not even earlier utilizing Extra Magic Hours. If you are staying on-site at a Disney Resort Hotel, be sure to check out which day of the week Disney's Animal Kingdom offers the early morning Extra Magic Hours, and arrive at that time.

You are correct in assuming the animals will tend to retreat to shadier areas during the hottest parts of the day, so early arrival will be key. Save the awesome shows like Finding Nemo - The Musical, Festival of the Lion King and Flights of Wonder for the end of your itinerary. Picking up a Times Guide at the front entrance will ensure you have all performance times throughout the day.

I just took a peek at my photo album from one of our August family vacations and a giraffe is standing directly beside our Kilimanjaro Safari jeep. Hakuna Matata, Sylvia ... your trip will be nothing short of magical.
